How do I have my iPhone show up as a drive on my MBP?

On my PC, when I connect my iPhone, it opens like a drive so I can just drag pictures from the iPhone to my computer. But when I connect it to my MBP this doesn't happen. Is there a way to set this up? How do you transfer multiple pictures from iPhone to computer?

Just use iPhoto

Okay....I am new to Mac... so just import through iPhoto? Is this the easiest way? I'd like to be able to just stick the pictures in my Pictures folder.

I use ImageCapture. All Macs have this App. I set it to auto open whenever my iPhone is connected.

Use Image Capture. It's a default App that comes with OS X.

If you just want to put them in your pictures folder rather than in iPhoto, use Image Capture (in the Applications folder)

+1 for image capture. Much less of a hassle than Iphoto. Much more intuitive.
