I just ordered AudioEngine A5's. I am not sure if these speakers are wired or wireless. I know that they can use airport express, but I don't need that. I want to get the best possible sound, so how do I hook them up to the iMac to ensure this? Thank you!!! I am just really a noob to computer systems!

They are most definitely wired!

Yes the line out ti the speaker's line in should work with no problem (as long as you select the line out in System Preferences->Sound).

There is no option for hookup. You only have a 3.5mm input so you're forced to use the line out on the iMac. The only downside to these monitors is no digital input with a high quality DAC.

Hooking up my Audioengine A5's to my imac via Audioengine W1

Having problems with the above set up. Do I need to run Airfoil to stream across to the speakers via W1?
