Hi!

I upgraded to Leopard on launch day a few weeks back and did a fresh install. I copied my backup of my home directory over so all the files are in the sites folder, however, my site doesn't appear in iWeb.

Any ideas on how to get it recognised?

Copy the Domain file in [home dir]/Library/Application Support/iWeb from your backup to the same location under Leopard on your Mac.

I don't have that backup anymore. I backed up my main drive to a secondary drive in my Mac Pro and then copied back everything I needed. I didn't copy the Application Support folder since I wanted a fresh start with my install. There must be a way for iWeb to rebuild everything, I mean iPhoto and iTunes just need the folders Photos and Music folders.
After copying everything over, I turned the drive into a Time Machine drive.

Eugh, that would the most irritating thing ever. Since when is storing vital data in the Application Support folder a good idea??????

Since God Steve released iWeb :p.

Seriously though its a good excuse to learn "proper" html/css instead, doing that has made my website much better.

That's what I used to use but it just took so much time to manage and maintain a personal domain that I figured I'd try iWeb. I really liked it and made a site for my girlfriend's mother. It meant we could get a nice looking site online for her within a few hours work rather than *ages* trying to get a nice site with integrated gallery working with matching skins etc. I don't have enough time for that anymore.

Now where do I complain to Apple....

How Can I Import iWeb files that were emailed to me?

I need to open iweb files from a dropbox folder and I've saved the unzipped file to my desk top. Can these be imported into iweb? If so, how?

First, you posted in a thread that's 4 years old. Second, if you'd read the thread you'd see that the answer is no. It's simply not possible. You can use another program to edit them, or you can recreate them, but iWeb does not work with HTML files natively, it uses a database that it then creates the HTML from on the fly when it publishes.
