I tried the Outlook one. It did not work. I already said that I tried both.opusthe2nd said:It will as a text file. Export it both forms and then import as a text file. I forget which one worked, I think it was the Outlook one. Either way, you only have 2 shots at it.

Text file import failure
The file you selected does not appear to be a valid comma separated values (csv) file nor a valid tab delimited file, please choose another file.
I've isolated the problem - it is multi-line fields that cause the problem.opusthe2nd said:Open the .csv file in OO or NeoOffice, or whatever you use. Show me a line or two of it, so I can see the formatting.
Just did this myself, took around 15 seconds in total.
Open gmail, contacts, more options (above contacts), export, vcard format (the same as how I uploaded contacts from my other mac), export.
The next thing I knew, my macbook wanted to know if I wanted to import the vcard to address book.
Actually the whole thing may have taken 10 seconds.
Easy peasy.
