hi all!

i just recently installed windows 7 on my pc.
I copyed my music folder (which had my itunes folder in it) onto a backup harddrive and did a clean install of windows 7.
I just finished installing itunes and havent opened it up yet. I was wonddering if i need to place my itunes folder into a certian directory before i open or if i import it through the program....and how....

thanks.... if it makes a difference its for an iphone 3gs

If its just music files you can install itunes and then import all your music from your backup.
Or transfer it right after you install itunes.
It should be located at C:\Users\owner\Music\iTunes

I wonder if he can transfer the library file as well. He'll lose all organization (if he had any) if he can't transfer the library.

I think he can.
What I did was copy the whole old itunes folder into the new location and replaced the new/empty folder created by the new install.
All my apps, ringtones, videos and songs where there just like before.

Nice. I was hoping that would be the case, but wasn't sure.
