How Do I Install Desktop Icons? + Know of Any Good Ones?

I stumbled upon this site not too long ago and realized it might be nice to change up the icons currently on my desktop:

Aside from never doing this before, therefore unaware of how to install/set these up, i'm also asking if you use any and if you know of any kick ass ones?

Look at tools called Candybar and LiteIcon.

thanks spooky, i tried to download liteicon but the download link wasn't good. that one seemed interesting cause it listed it could easily revert back to all the original icons. can candybar do this too? i just downloaded candy bar.

Try download LiteIcon on developer website. I don't use Candybar, so I can't answer your question. Sorry.

CandyBar will let you revert anything you've changed, and it also lets you change a lot more than LiteIcon will. It also has a nice icon organization system (i.e. you can catalog icons within the app, so more than just applying them).

On the other hand, LiteIcon is free.

Download the free trial of CandyBar and download LiteIcon and see which you like better.
