If you bought the iPad 2 with the NEED for a jailbreak, then frankly it wasn't a very smart purchase.

No one can tell you if it will come or not. At this point there is no publicly released jailbreak, and the latest tweets from the dev-team show that they are not even close.

So return it. Quickly, give someone else a chance to enjoy it.

It's still a pretty sweet machine even without a jailbreak. It will be jailbroken,cracked, whatever you want to call it. Have patience...

I think a sticky needs to be added that there's no JB for iPad 2 yet. Then update it when one is finally released so we don't see 1,000 more of these posts.

At this point in time, from the tweets I have read, there is no jailbreak for it, and it appears that no one is really working on one for it. Most of the real jailbreakers don't have their own iPad2 nor do they feel a real need to own one.... I **believe** a jailbreak for the iPad2 is not high on anyone's list. Perhaps it will come from someone new, perhaps it will not come until after the one for the iPad4, perhaps it simply will not be released to the general public....

I'm sure that people are working on it.
It would just be more efficient to release it after the iPhone 5 so that Apple doesn't have any time to fix the hardware exploit, if there be one.
