It seems like this should be simple. When I swipe from left to right to see my widgets in today view and hold my finger down until the widgets wiggle, I do not see any option to “keep on home screen“. I can’t drag the widgets from the today view onto the home screen for some reason either. And when I am in my home screen and do a long press to get the apps to wiggle, there’s no + at the top left to add widgets. Basically it’s acting like the previous iOS. What could I possibly be doing wrong?

Update solved. I had The “bigger app icons“ on which grays out the keep on home screen option.
