How Do I know if my Computer has all the FIRMWARE updates??

I have a mid 2007 white 17" iMac, a mid 2007 mac mini, a late 2007 20" Aluminum iMac, and a late 2009 13.3" MBP.

How can I tell if all of these computers have the latest firmware updates on them?

If I simply do the software updates will that update the firmware??
