I finished backing up my iMac using Time Machine, how do I know it is backed up?

Go into your external hard drive and find a folder name with letters and has time machine in it.

Ok, there is no folder with time machine on it...I went into my external hD and looked in my iMac partition and found a folder labeled Backups.backupdb and saw my back up....looks good!

Whoops, just thinking logically. Have not looked at my Time Machine drive for a while. That's all good.

The reason Im being particular is because I'm about to do a clean install of snow leopard and making sure I'm all backed up.
