I have to give a video copy of my 3d animation reel to a client.
How can I lock the disk? Does iDVD have the option of locking?

"Lock"? Do you mean stop people from copying it?
Does iDVD have the option of locking?
Short answer: No.

(DVD Studio Pro allows you to flag your disc to the replicator that you want Macrovision adding - but that only applies if you get the disc commercially replicated (i.e. pressed as a "real" DVD-Video, not burnt to DVD-R) - and you also have to pay the huge Macrovision licence fees.)

And.... of course, it doesn't work anyway. DVD rippers abound, and they work on commercially produced Hollywood DVDs, even with Hollywood's resources - they can't stop copying, so you won't be able to.

Better solution for you: put a ***** great big watermark across your entire video saying "PROOF" or some such...
