I use an external hard-drive to store my iTunes songs (I'm guessing this is pretty common). Problem is, if I start iTunes with the external drive off, or disconnected (the computer is a windows laptop), then iTunes maps back to the default folder on C drive. If I fail to notice this, when I rip new music it ends up in the wrong spot. Is there anyway to "lock" the music folder location to an external drive that holds even if the drive is absent?
