How do I maintain my current contacts when re-jailbreaking?

I've heard a lot about setting up a phone as new vs. restoring it when jailbreaking. I'm thinking specifically when the jailbreak for ios4 is released. How do I get my current contacts back to my phone when setting up a phone as new?

Is there a way to save my current iphone contacts to my sim?

Are you on a Mac with Mobile Me? If so you can sync everything that way.

I actually use Critical Path's "Contacts Sync" app. Been using that since the day it came out. Its great. Got all my contacts from my iphone on my ipad too

Thanks. How do I actually retrieve those contacts and put them back on the phone though? I backed them up already.

Download the app and sign in. The app will pull all contacts down from the cloud and put them back on your phone.
