So I facetimed with a friend. Now everytime I call her it goes straight to FaceTime. Is there a way to avoid this? I want to have to click to use FaceTime not to turn it off everytime.

How are you calling her? Through your recents? If you're calling through your recents, there's your answer.
Yep that was it. Thanks. Now that the double tap to favorites is gone I've just been using recents.
I don't have an iPhone 4 in my hands yet, but I've heard that Apple changed it to double tap and hold. Try that.
It's funny about that. Say you are locked and the screen is off. Double tap and it will just wake up. At the slide to unlock screen if you double tap the iPod controls will come back up. Doesn't make much sense. This happens whether or not any music is playing.
