I never had this issue before but now if I return to a website after a brief period I have to log in again. It used to keep me logged in. What do I do to fix this?

Do you by any chance have the "private" feature enabled in your browser?

How do I determine that. Do I need to allow cookies?
Well, yes, you generally need cookies for that kind of thing too.

As for using private mode, are you saying you aren't aware of what that is and how it works for a browser like Safari in iOS?

I am aware of what private browsing is, how do I find out if I am or not? I enabled cookies and it's still logging me out. This is really pissing me off.

How do I disable private browsing? I'm pretty sure it already is and I turned on cookies for all websites, it's still logging me out. This is getting really annoying, now I'm reminded why I never update.

Open safari, click new tab. If private is highlighted and there's a dark theme (black) you are in private. If not, you aren't.

Ok I'm not private. Why is it logging me out every other time?

Perhaps something about your Safari settings? Have you tried clearing your cache? Do you have JavaScript enabled along with cookies (perhaps different level of cookie handling might be needed)? Are you using any content blockers? Are you jailbroken and could there be a tweak that might be affecting this in some way?

Some pages offer tickbox or something like 'remember me'..
But that's probably not the case

You realize what this is all leading to, don't you?

The misc issues you have on your phone - contacts coming up, email being slow, logging you out of sites, etc. - all this will continue to happen until you either: A) wipe/restore your phone or B) load the next update.

Doing either of those...you will give up the jail-break.

Or you can keep the jail-break and live with all the misc issues you have now.

Time to decide. I luv it.

People still jaibreak in these days of hacker attacks. Braver than I am. I alway update to get latest security. Phone works every time, does not slow down, and never been attacked. Course I don't click on links from unknown email source.

Occasionally my iPad Air 2 will lock up surfing porn and ask for ransom. But all I do is close safari, go to settings, safari, advanced, turn off JavaScript erase web data, turn JavaScript back on, reopen safari and all is back to normal. Might have to log onto forums again, no biggy.

Your iPad is ransomware infected? How did that happen?

It's fake ransomware. As I just turn off, erase javalink scripts and all is good again. It's some porn link garbage that does lock up browser. But super easy to correct. So it didn't go into kernel.

Nice to see you're still sexually active in your Bachelor life
When you get old, all you have sometimes is voyuerism.

Only thing worse than getting old, is not getting old.
