How do I mark all my podcasts in iTunes as unplayed?

I am in the Podcasts section of iTunes, tried highlighting all said podcasts and selected Mark as Unplayed but they arent reflecting that. There are random blue dots here and there. I tried Subscribing/Unsubscribing and still nothing.

What is going on here how do I reset this?

I just tried it and it worked fine

I right moused on the high level podcast names and marked as unplayed. All were then unplayed.

It actually does say unplayed/played there depending on what I mark it....but when I go to sync to my iPhone "all unplayed" podcasts it doesnt sync these I marked unplayed?
