Hello,

I'm currently running OSX 10.6.8 on a Mac Pro that has 4 drive bays that are connected to a Mac Pro RAID card. The card is not configured for RAID but the hard drives connect to it. The system is running via a 1TB software RAID1 volume. I was hoping to add more storage to my system by installing two 2TB hard drives and configuring them as a software RAID1 volume.

My questions are as follows.
Can I use Disk Utility to copy the data from the 1TB software RAID1 volume to the 2TB software RAID1 volume?
If I can use Disk Utility, will I only see 1TB of the 2TB mirror due to the partition table getting copied?
Will the system boot when I unplug the drives that were part of the old 1TB RAID1 volume?
Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
