Is there any right way to hold and move the iMac from one room to another? Its edges are so thin and delicate that I fear denting or damaging by holding agains my hands.

An easy way is to put your forearm between the stand and the computer and carry it around like a fancy restaurant waiter.

I like to pick mine up from behind, with both hands grasping the bottom edges (where there is room with the chin so I do not touch the screen) - screen facing outward and the pedestal against my mind section. I get a bit weary of grabbing it just by the pedestal. I make sure to take my wedding band off to not scrape and scratch it.

Is it as fragil as it looks? Are those bottom edges made to be lifted? :D

Lol at a glance i first took it as the man hold that plate :D

I think the responses are funny if taken out of context...

Haha I know I was going to try and sneak a joke in there somewhere the moment I typed "from behind" but took the high road instead :D

It's made of aluminium. Just pick it up and don't touch the glass. If you can't pick up aluminium products without denting them, then none of the products in my signature are for you.

Are you Edward the scissorhand, if that's the case I advise you don't go anywhere the iMac!

I'd be more worried about slicing my fingers off with an iMac than denting the computer. lol.

I sneak up behind and yell "Boo!"

It only moves a few inches, but if I do it a few times over a day, it gets to where I want it to be.

If you try this, make sure it's sleeping and the webcam is off.
