How do I open an old pages document?

Pages documents won't open in Pages 5.2 or Pages 4.2

So I have some files that wouldn't open in Pages 5.2.2 (most recent version). One that I have saved on iCloud (so it must not have been too old) I really need so I downloaded an old copy of Pages (4.2) but it won't open in that either.

Please help. Thanks
