How do I pay for Microsoft Office monthly?

Hello,
this has to be the stupidest question ever, but how do I pay for the Office subscription monthly, not yearly?
On Mac App Store I see IAP and there should be a possibility to pay monthly, however I only get the option to pay annually? How do I change it?

Are you in the US? Maybe some countries do not allow a monthly plan...

Sorry, no idea. But I can't see any reason not to buy a Microsoft product directly from Microsoft.

I just tested this by downloading Excel so I could see the IAP options. It does offer annual ($69.99) and monthly ($5.83), but you have to sign into your Microsoft account anyway to do it, so might as well just purchase at Microsoft directly. Then you can sign into your MS account via the app to link the sub.

If someone else controls the credit card used for your AppleID and you don't want to use a different one (your own). It's a reason.
