hi, i want to try making a song in garageband but instead of me singing (i cant for the life of me) i thought it would be cool to write the song in textedit and use os x's voices ie "fred" "alex"... to say the words and then id cut it up and make it go with the beat. Does anyone know how i can do this? Is there anyway i can record this straight to garageband from textedit? thanks.

Set Garageband to record from external mic, then use a single 1/4" to 1/4" jack cable to bridge from the speaker out to the mic in.
