Hi guys, simple question, when setting up my iPad mini that I bought today (and I knew the new ones were being announced!) I chose to register later as I was setting it up in a Starbucks and just wanted to jump online and start browsing. I now can't see, unless I'm missing something very obvious, how to register.

I went to register.apple.com or whatever it was which is what a google search suggested but it says it is not active anymore and that most products are registered when you set them up. Am I missing something in the settings?

Sorry if its very simple, haven't had an iPad or iPhone since the first gen iPad and the iPhone 3G. iOS 7 tempted me back. If I have to register via iTunes that'll be a problem as I am travelling and bought the mini as my travel companion and do not have a computer travelling with me.

Essentially I wanted to register so that apple knows when I bought my device so I can hopefully get the new iLife for free. If i don't need to register for that purpose it can definately wait (I don't even usually bother registering at all)
