How do I register my Apple TV for the Guarantee?

I have seen a brand new and sealed Apple TV on eBay but the guy doesn't know whether it has a guaranetee. I assume it does and you just register the serial number on Apple's site.

Is that assumption correct?

Tell him to give you the serial # so you can check it for warranty info on the main Apple support page.
