How Do I register my freaking MBP to my Apple account?

I can't figure out how to register my MBP with Apple using my Apple account. I'm just looking to register for the one that comes with it, not the 2 year one. I'm having problems, PLEASE HELP.

It would have been nice if Apple told me that somewhere along the lines. So if it breaks in the year period, they will just know that its not been a year yet?

I need to go to the Apple Store this weekend and I was freaking out that they wouldn't know its my Mac or something, or that I'd be missing paperwork.
