Hey everyone,
So, I played with iChat a little, but don't intend to use it. Now, however, there is an iChat icon on the top bar next to the volume icon. How do I get rid of the iChat icon? ideas?

Go into iChat, click on iChat in the menu bar, click on preferences, click on Accounts, uncheck the box that says "Show status in menu bar", close iChat.

Solution

Open iChat. Go to Prefrences and there is a check box that says "Show Status in Menubar." Click that and you're set.

Okay here is the quickest simplest most overlooked solution. command-click on any icon in the menu bar voulume, monitors, iChat what have you and move it where you want it. Even move it right off the menu bar deleting it.

OMG THANKS SO MUCH, I JUST GOT THAT FRICKIN REMOTE DESKTOP THING OUT OF THERE! Now this is one smart person!
