I subscribed to the SMS notifications a while ago, but even after following the text directions to unsubscribe, I still get texts during live events, without the directions to unsubscribe, and this gets incredibly infuriating when I have to keep my phone on for my work, but I get a text every 30 seconds. Does anybody know how to cancel the subscription?

Some users ask for SMS updates from Twitter and then get more than they bargained for without being able to unsubscribe when they start getting keynote news. The reason is that Twitter gets overloaded during big events and doesn't process all requests to subscribe or unsubscribe. It's happened during past events and it happened to some users again this time.

Once Twitter activity is calm again, you can follow Twitter's instructions to unsubscribe from SMS updates.

I had this issue for the last 2 keynotes. Texting STOP finally stopped the messages.
