I bought a used 6th gen Nano off craigslist this morning and it had originally been "swiped" clean. I asked to have one song added so I could hear it play when I came to pick it up - it worked great

I created a playlist for my wife but I cannot download it onto the Nano. Under "Devices" it list this Ipod to "Taylor", the girl that owned it. I'm thinking when she downloaded that one song, it locked it back to her ID. How do I undo/reset this so I can download our list to it? Thanks.

I don't remember how but after clicking on 10,000 buttons, I was able to reset the Nano and reset the previous owners name back to "Administrator" - but I can't figure out how change that to my wife's name. I was able to download her playlist onto it so I guess that's better than nothing . . .

In iTunes, go to the summary tab, there is a big button that says Restore but it sounds like you figured that part out. While in the summary tab, you can just click the name of the iPod and it should change to a text box so that you change the name to whatever you'd like.
