like so that it was like the day i bought it. thanks.

I just need to backup my music/photos, everything else i don't need. my mbp is going wack.. i want to do a fresh reinstall. thanks.

how would i go about doing this?

Before wiping the drive you can try dragging the preferences to the trash or even opening a new user to see if the problems go away.

Once you've backed up everything you need, just pop in the DVD that came with your computer. It will bring up a screen that asks you if you want to install.

Once it restarts, follow the steps choosing "Clean Install" and when it's done your machine will start fresh. (Everything will be erased and you'll set the OS up from scratch.)

right now i feel like my computer isn't running as fast as i once bought it. would doing the clean reinstall fix the problem?

If not, i don't think ill bother doing that.

Only until you reinstall the application, tweak, driver, extension, etc. that is causing the problem.

Look in Activity Monitor to see if something is sucking the cycles.
