Hi,
I just got my MacBook Pro M1 Pro Max. And I was plying around with the monitor settings for my external monitor (LG 34WK95U-W). I was having problems getting it to show the maximum resolution.

All I can crank it up to is either 3840x2160 which leaves black space on the edges. Or 2440x1440 which makes everything blurred. It is supposed to run at 5120x2160.

So I chose different resolutions. But now my mac just keeps reseting the screen resolution. Shows the screen for .5 seconds (before I can click anything) and resets again - over and over again.

The monitor is connected using a thunderbolt cable. When I use my HDMI cable, it works fine (still blurry though). But I cant connect using my thunderbolt cable anymore. Then it just flickers.

So how do I reset my Mac and make it forget about all monitor settings? Is it possible? I tried restarting in safe mode, but to no avail.

This is how it flickers when connected to Thunderbolt: https://www.dropbox.com/s/h1jlh4q0k12pjb1/IMG_5507.mov?dl=0
