How do I retrieve Photos from Apple TV

Yesterday I bought an Apple TV from someone in the local free ads paper. He told me there were still photos on it from a recent trip to Rome, but at the time he said don't worry about them as he didn't know how to erase them. Later in the day I received a call from him saying if there was any way I could retrieve the photos he would be very grateful as he realized he had no back up on his computer, luckily I hadn't synched my iTunes yet. So the question is how do I retrieve the files? I've installed Atv Flash but that's about as far as I've got. Any help will be much appreciated.

Sorted... used Cyberduck and SFTP, found the little buggers at /mnt/Media/Photos/
