i asked this before on here but never really got a good answer. i have an imac g3, it came with os 9 installed but i put a 40gb hard drive in and installed tiger. how do i make it so i could dualboot into os 9 ? i have an os 9 disc

I can't remember if it'll let you install OS 9 onto a drive with OSX on. It'll let you install enough to run in Classic but not as a bootable OS. You can install OS 9 and then OSX.
Try putting the OS 9 disc in, restarting and hold down c then follow the instructions.

Insert the OS9 Disk, Restart holding "C". Then install OS9 (as an Archive and Install or Clean Install, so long as it doesn't erase the hard drive). Then you can change the OS by using the Startup Disk System Preference to change to OS9 and the Startup Disk control panel in OS9 to return to OS X.
