I'm trying to save a picture from iPhoto to my harddrive so that I can upload it to Photobucket. Can't see a way to get this done. I'm denied access to the iphoto library. I can only email them to myself.

Any help appreciated. Doug

That's strange, if you're denied read access to the iPhoto directory then I'm wondering how you can see the image in the first place....

Anyway the easiest non-destructive way to accomplish what you want to do is to click and drag the photo(s) you'd like to upload to Photobucket to the Desktop. (You'll know if you are making a copy of the pictures when the green plus "+" icon shows up under the cursor.) Simply upload the pictures on your desktop and then delete them when done.

You can:

"File Save As"
"File Export?"
Drag photo from iPhoto viewer to desktop (should see green "+" icon which denotes a copy)

I do this alot to bring photo's to walmart on an SD card to print.

If all else fails, email it to yourself and save the attachment to the desktop, but I don't know why you can't just drag it to the desktop.
