I'm still running 10.8.5 and I'm considering the jump..

One thing that gets me is that in the VM that I have of Mavericks I can't get the "Available Meeting Times" to show up on my corporate calDAV calendar.

Here is an image I found on google of what it looks like:

How do you get to this screen when using the calendar in Mavericks?

That's pretty much exactly what it looks like in my calendar in Mavericks. I create an event, add several people, click the Check Availability link, and I can slide the meeting around manually, or click the Next Available Time button to find the next open slot of adequate size on everyone's calendar.

Make sure the event you've created is on your work CalDAV calendar - I have my iCloud personal calendar, plus my work CalDAV. When I create an event it goes on iCloud by default. I can add any invitees I want but the Check Availability link won't show until I click the colored square in the upper right of the event, which drops down my list of calendars, and change it to my work CalDAV calendar. As soon as I do that, the Check Availability shows up.
