I use XP SP3 with Fusion that utilizes my Bootcamp partition. I have an external drive that I use for Time Machine. I formatted 25g of the drive FAT for other Windows backups.

How can I get this drive seen in XP?

I downloaded a few things from the WD website for my external, but I cannot see it. They are WD Drive Mgr and some 1394SAM Installer.

Do I need to use Bootcamp to see it?

TIA

Probably. :( I don't see anything in the current set of VMware Fusion tools that allows for the Firewire port to be used. I might very well be wrong about that but I've looked closely and have gone over the tools options and can find nothing about the Firewire port in a VM.

Fusion 2.0 is still in beta. I haven't tried it and don't know if it addresses the Firewire issue. The Leopard disk does have a Win driver for the IEEE 1394 Firewire port and loads it along with the other necessary drivers to use for Windows running in a Boot Camp partition.

Regards.
