How do I set word to spell check in French?

My topic basically says it all. I have a mac with word installed and would like to figure out how to spell check my documents in French. Anybody know how to do this? Thanks!

Go to Word preferences. choose spelling and grammar.
click on dictionaries,
then toggle languages, down to French.

In theory. I don't know any other languages!
