How do I setup an ATV 4K? First time with ATV and first time with any streaming.

We just purchased an ATV 4K. We have we have never set up a streaming device. We have never yet set up an ATV. Our TV is from 2006. We have one HDMI port available.

Are there any special setup instructions for the new ATV? If not, are there general setup guides.

My HDMI cable is not 2.0. Is that critical ?

You will not get 4K video then. It's a waste of the AppleTV to not use a 4K TV with a 4K HDMI cable.

You can but it's a waste of money to buy a 4K APpleTV. Just buy a cheap older version or a Roku lol. Your paying more for a 4K device then you would a 1080p device.
