hey, I'm new to OSX and apple, but i bought the 17" powerbook, and i remember reading how i can set the aquarium screensaver as my background. I d/led it, but i dunno how to set it as my screensaver. I also heard of a way to set it as my background... is that true?

You set the screen saver by going to 'system preferences' and selecting 'screen effects.'

'System Preferences' is in the apple menu at the top left of your screen.

Anyone new to OS X should pick up a copy of "Mac OS X: The Missing Manual" by David Pogue

Have fun with your new mac.

thanks guys... but it wont allow me to put the aquarium screen saver that i d/led as the screen saver

put the saver in the folder /libary/screensavers in your home directory. Then it will show up in the screen savers panel under system preferences
