How do i speed up Assassin Creed 2 gameplay in now MBP?

I have a new model 15" 2.0Ghz i7 MBP. I downloaded AC2 last night off the appstore but when i come to play it the gameplay is'nt that great even when dropping all the settings to low. Is there anything i can do to tweek it. Im new to MAC. :)
