Hi folks,

I'd like to reset a G5 I'm selling on, so i'd like to do a clean install of Tiger but leave the 'welcome' video and registration process that follow for the new owner.

Is there any way of doing this? Do I simply press the power button when the video starts so it shuts down without going through this? Or is there even a 'shut down' button in the first registration window (the language one, I think) which I've just not noticed before?

Any help gratefully received. :)

"How do I stop after install but before 'welcome'?"

I picture John Prescott with...

Wait, that's a completely different topic!

(Sorry. )

When it gets to the welcome screen, just turn it off. The welcome screed will come up again when it is turned on and the new user can register from there.

Thanks alot, skybolt!

And where the hell were you going with John Prescott, BoyBach?!
