Is there any way to turn off "auto-play" flash ads and videos in Safari? I tried the extension 'Click to Plugins', but it blocked all Youtube videos and I'm not even sure that it and 'Click to Flash' are compatible with Yosemite.

Any suggestions would sure be appreciated. More and more sites seem to be using Auto Play videos and ads and it's driving me nuts!

Thanks!
Dave

Hi,

ClickToFlash does work on Yosemite and can do what you are after.

It does not block the Youtube videos.
You can set it up, via its preferences, to prevent the autoplay, and even the auto-download, which is great.

If you use AdBlock + ClickToFlash, no more autoplay nor ads in Safari.
