how do I stop .Mac copy

I started a long copy to my .Mac site, then decided not to do the copy. I hit the "stop copy" button about 30 minutes ago, and although the copy has not progressed, the dialog box is still present saying "stop copy, please wait." How do I really stop the copy process????
