how do I stop the dock from disappearing?

I have a dual screen setup. I like to have my browser in fullscreen mode on one screen and everything else on the other screen including the dock. But when I am using the browser, the dock disappears from the other screen. Does anyone know how to change this so the dock will just stay put while I am working on the other screen? Thanks

You could pin the dock to the side rather than the bottom. Otherwise the dock will always move when you place your mouse at the bottom of a screen and move downward.
