How do I stream a video that is being played in Safari to an Apple TV?

I know how to mirror the display to an Apple TV, but I want to be able to do something else on my laptop while the video is being streamed to the Apple TV.

You could go in the airplay settings and choose to extend the display instead of mirroring it.
