Hello,

I recently switched from a pc to mac and am very very happy with my new mac book pro.

Below are the specs:

Gruppe : Computersysteme - Notebooks - MAC Notebooks
Bezeichnung:
15,4" 2,93 GHz MacBookPro CTO - 15,4" 2,93 GHz MacBookPro CTO-Änderung: 2,93 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo// Intel Core 2 Duo T9800 (2.93 GHz / 1066 MHz)/ 4 GB RAM (2x 2 GB)/ 15,4 "/ WXGA+ (1440 x 900 Pixel)/ NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT/ 320 GB HDD/ DVD-Multi (DL)/ WLAN 802.11n, LAN 10/100/1000/

My question is the following. I remember that on my IBM i had to every onec and a while let my battery completely drain (until my pc went off by itself) in order to keep the battery lifetime up and going. On my Mac I havent been doing so for the last week and Im asking myself if there is anything I shoudl keep in mind or look out for so that my macbook doesnt die on me in a couple of months and I have to then go out and get a new battery and stuff. Would also be greatfull if someone explained to me how to check my battery status (a kind of health check).

Thank you in advance,
