I am in Canada and am planning to buy an iPhone 4 soon, and I figured I don't need 3G as I am surrounded by WiFi for 90% of the day, and it isn't worth something like $15-$20 a month just to check my email on the bus (please don't try to persuade me otherwise).

Are there any tips you can give? Should I be nice/kind or aggressive/demanding?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, or even on MacRumors at all.

No idea if its even possible to get an iPhone at the subsidized price without a data plan contract, but being an ******* right off the bat is never the right approach, if for no other reason than its very unCanadian. :D

Pay 200 DECF... I don't think you can get away from it. The system does not allow you to purchase the iphone without signing up a 3 year data agreement

at the end it is still cheaper than buying it in full.
