I’ve been looking on eBay for mid-2015 rMBP 15 inch. Mostly 1tb versions. I want the dedicated graphics but sometimes it’s hard to tell if the computer has it or not on eBay. Could you even upgrade the computer to 1tb (from Apple) on the base model?

for example here’s 2 that I’m looking at:

And

Thanks!

You're going to have to ask the seller and have them post a pic of the graphics/display tab under system information to be sure as even the dGPU models have the awesome iris pro intel GPU which is still better than the MBP 16's iGPU.

The 2nd seller is asking way too much, but it makes me chuckle that these machines are fetching the same price or even better vs. 2016/2017 Macbook Pro 15's that have better CPU/GPU. Makes you say hmmmmm...

Yes, the second is asking to much, he/she has a send offer so I will do that. I got what you said from one of them(see first picture) and its different than my current macbook pro that has the extra graphics card(see second picture). it looks like mine has it and theirs doesnt but correct me if im wrong.Would a better/easier way to tell be going to the battery settings and seeing if it has the automatic graphics changing option? it seams like the ones with only iris pro graphics would not have this option.

Maybe I could concider the built in graphics but I really don't want to downgrade from my NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M in my 2013 mbp, I plan to keep the 2015 for a while

Yes that's iGPU only, I missed that screen
In all honesty if my 2012 MBP retina had iGPU only it would still be working great. Granted, the 750M has been much more reliable vs the 650M that was in my machine. But didn't the 2015 MBP have an even hotter AMD chip? I would go for machine 1, but my that price really irks me for a 5 year old machine. As I said, the 2016 touchbar MBP 15 are going for that price with much better specs...

Thanks for the input. I'm not going to go with any of the butterfly keyboard macs because of reliability concerns and I don't like typing on them. and i'm not sure about the hotter amd graphics, I was just pretty sure they were better than the 2013
