I imported about 15 GB of files to iphoto library. I ended up moving them to the trash, But My HD is still showing that 15GB wasn't freed up. Are they in a special hidden library? If so, Where can i find them? I decided to get Photoshop instead

How do i totally delete iphoto pics from Lion?

maybe try a restart, maybe that hard drive breakdown of whats free needs a restart when deleting a big chunck of volume?
also ive never used iPhoto but maybe its like itunes just becasue you delete them from the library they are still on the harddrive?
Did you have iPhoto copy the files into the library, or leave them where they were?. That was one of the problems I had with iPhoto ... I did not want a managed library and you cannot ever actually delete a picture with a referenced library.
