How do I transfer Itunes library from Imac to Mac book pro??

I am stuck but would like to have all my music on my Imac put on my laptop so I can put it on my Iphone....

my laptop is the one I authorized for my iphone but all my music is on my Imac...

I do have a firewire connector if that helps...

I would boot the laptop in to Target Disk Mode (I think that's what it is called). Turn the laptop off, and restart it holding the T key. This basically turns your laptop hard drive into a firewire external hard drive. Then replace your laptops iTunes music folder with the one from your iMac.
