I just bought a new Mac Mini, love it so far. On my Windoze 7 PC I have an iTunes library that is approx. 8GB. I can copy the music to an external USB drive, but how and where do I put the files on OS X? I've been away from the Mac OS for a while and not sure where everything goes.

Or is there an even better or simpler way to handle all of this?

Thanks very much in advance,
Chris

I THINK, you could use iTunes Match given that you pay £/$/€30 for iCloud, not sure. Hopefully someone can back me up too.

Make sure the option to keep all iTunes files in the iTunes folder. This is what it looks like in Mac.

Now all you need to do is copy the whole folder over. You should retain your play counts and playlists, I believe.
