how do i turn flash on?

Simple but stupid question

How can i turn the flash on in the iPhone 4?

Top of the screen in the camera app you have the option to turn it off/on/auto

i press it to turn it on but nothing happens?

edit: thought it was a flaw in my phone, however it does it it's self.. clever LOl

If it is set to Auto it will only flash if the ambient light is low enough! try it in a darker environment or switch it to on and it should flash all the time
